IQ Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment (TAQA)

The Open College Network West Midlands offers TAQA qualifications through Industry Qualifications and comprises:
 
Assessing Competence in the Work Environment (9 credits)
 
The IQ Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment is a qualification for assessors who assess competence in an individual's work environment. Assessment is by practical assessment visit. There must be performance evidence of the following assessment methods:
  • observation of performance in the work environment
  • examining products of work
  • questioning the learner
Other assessment methods can be evidenced in other ways. Simulations are not allowed.
 
There must be evidence of you carrying out at least two assessments of two learners’ occupational competence (four assessments in total).
 
Learners who achieve this qualification can progress to a variety of other qualifications including:
 
  • Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
  • Level 4 Award in the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
  • Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
  • Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
  • Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training.
 
 

 Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment (TAQA)
