Delivery and Assessment

Course Information
Delivery and Assessment of Open College Network West Midlands Qualifications is a full day course.  The course provides guidance to assist teaching/training staff and assessors in the creation and organisation of a variety of assessment opportunities.  This session provides an opportunity to meet colleagues from other centres.
This course is not for staff teaching or assessing Access to Higher Education Diplomas.
This course is designed for:
  • those involved in teaching and training, primarily those new to the delivery of unit based assessment.
Aims to:
  • Provide guidance on delivery and assessment of credit-based learning;
  • Equip tutors with the knowledge and understanding necessary to use a range of assessment methods;
  • Provide the opportunity to share good practice;
  • Explore different methods of assessing learning at different levels;
  • Ensure that assessment activities are fit for purpose;
  • Include practical assessment activity writing;
  • Provide an opportunity to share good practice in creating flexible and diverse assessment activities.
The session runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Refreshments and lunch provided.
