About this subject area

The Open College Network West Midlands Level 3 Award in Employability and Leadership Skills is a new qualification for Level 3 learners that offers a flexible approach to study.

Learners have access to a large range of employability and leadership skills units that are directly linked to the workplace.

Learners will be equipped to provide leadership within their current or future employability roles especially when considering different career and progression options.

Learners will be able to choose from a variety of units including:

  • Mentoring
  • Coaching
  • ICT skills
  • Leading meetings
  • Leadership skills
  • Developing communication skills
  • Dealing with complaints
  • Problem-solving skills.

To be awarded the Open College Network West Midlands Level 3 Award in Employability and Leadership Skills, learners must achieve 10 credits.

The Open College Network West Midlands Level 3 Award in Employability and Leadership Skills qualification is designed for learners aged 16 and above.

Qualification Approval

In order to deliver this qualification, centres must meet the requirements to deliver the qualification (which can be found in the Qualification Specification) and complete the Qualification Approval Application Form (QAF).
