About this subject area

Employability and Development Skills qualifications have been designed to allow learners who are ready to enter the workplace to find a relevant, appropriate vocational area, and give them opportunity to develop essential personal development and employability skills along with specific vocationally related skills in a simulated or real work environment.

Employability and Development Skills qualifications include endorsed pathways, giving learners the opportunity to study a range of skills in an area of special interest or identified for further learning.

Qualification Approval

In order to deliver this qualification, centres must meet the requirements to deliver the qualification (which can be found in the Qualification Specification) and complete the Qualification Approval Application Form (QAF).
