Our qualifications equip learners to work or volunteer successfully in Conductive Education settings and provide a greater awareness of Specific Learning Difficulties, behavioural disorders and Special Educational Needs such as autism and dyslexia.

Qualification Approval
In order to deliver this qualification, centres must meet the requirements to deliver the qualification (which can be found in the Qualification Specification) and complete the Qualification Approval Application Form (QAF).

This qualification has been designed to offer knowledge and understanding that can be applied in supporting individuals with autism

The Open College Network West Midlands Level 3 Certificate in Conductive Education is designed for individuals (conductive assistants). These conductive assistants would be working alongside qualified conductors in a supportive role and be involved in the daily application of skills for example; eating, dressing, transferring, as well as the more formal structured motor programmes being followed.

This qualification is aimed at those learners currently working in conductive education who have previously completed the Level 3 Certificate in Conductive Education, or who have three years’ experience working alongside a qualified Conductor and wish to progress to Higher Level Conductor Assistant status.

This qualification is designed to support staff to deliver education and training on Dyslexia to aid learners understanding of what is meant by Dyslexia, how it is diagnosed and its effects on individuals.

The Open College Network West Midlands Level 2 Award in Introduction to Working with Individuals with Learning Disabilities is suitable for those who are working, or wanting to work in roles where they have contact with individuals with learning disabilities. The qualification enables progression to employment, further learning opportunities within employment or further study.

This qualification is designed to provide knowledge and awareness of a range of Specific Learning Difficulties (or SpLDs), and behavioural disorders.

The Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of Special Educational Needs is aimed at professionals working in education or carrying out a caring role in nursery nursing, teaching assistance, childcare or play work, and are looking to develop knowledge and understanding of Special Educational Needs to progress within the sector as part of a new or existing role.
