Level 2 Award in Postural Care

The Open College Network West Midlands Level 2 Award in Postural Care provides learners with the theoretical principles, knowledge of common safety issues and the practical skills needed in order to implement 24 hour positioning and protect body shape. 

The minimum age for access to the qualification is 16.

Level 4 Award in Leadership in Postural Care

The Open College Network West Midlands Level 4 Award in Leadership in Postural Care is designed to enables learners to develop skills and knowledge to deliver locally sustainable, person centred Postural Care courses. It also enables learners to develop the leadership skills necessary to facilitate real change in partnership with people who access services.
 
The minimum age for access to this qualification is 19 years.
 
Level 3 Award in Postural Care in the Lying Position
 
The Open College Network West Midlands Level 3 Award in Postural Care in the Lying Position qualification will enable learners to understand the need for appropriate lying positions and identify suitable interventions.
 
The minimum age for access to this qualification is 19 years.
 
Level 3 Award in Postural Care in the Seated Position
 
The Open College Network West Midlands Level 3 Award in Postural Care in the Seated Position qualification will enable learners to understand the need for appropriate seating and identify suitable interventions.
 
The minimum age for access to this qualification is 19 years.
 
In order to deliver these qualifications centres must meet the specified requirements which can be found below in the document Appendix A. Centres must then complete the 'Approval to deliver a qualification form' and email it to l.male@opencollnet.org.uk.
