Latest COVID-19 announcement from Open College Network West Midlands

Tuesday, 5 January 2021

Last night, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a national lockdown across England.

We wanted to inform our Centres of our latest corporate position concerning COVID-19.

Open College Network West Midlands is pleased to reiterate that we remain fully open for business. This has been the situation for most of 2020 with all of our energy directed into providing Centres with the support they need, when they need it.

All registrations and results will continue to be processed in the usual way and certificates will be issued as normal.

The team are ready to provide support as required, please continue to contact them on their usual e-mail addresses and via our main office telephone number, 01902 624230.

Centre Contingency Planning

We anticipate that each centre will have their own documented contingency planning and are committed to ensuring that we are able to work with our centres to ensure that no learners are disadvantaged by current events.
Should you identify a situation where learners are likely to be adversely affected please refer to our special considerations policy in the first instance and contact us for further advice and support.

Please note however, we are unable to advise centres on whether or not they should remain open for business. If you are in any doubt as to the latest guidelines, we recommend you visit the Governments website for all the latest news and updates regarding COVID-19.

We continue to work closely with all our Regulators to minimise the impact upon learners and support their achievement during these difficult times. We will keep you informed with developments as and when they occur.

We would like to encourage all our delivery partners to stay safe and keep well.
