A Taste of the Wild Outdoors

Tuesday, 27 March 2018

On the 14th March we held our second Forest Schools Taster Event, hosted by our recognised centre, Staffordshire Wildlife Trust.

A wide array of people booked on this free event to learn about the benefits of becoming a Forest School Leader for their educational establishment. The morning started with a classroom-based talk from Duncan and Shaun who work at the Trust where they explained the origins of Forest Schools and its importance in todays society. The group then moved outside to participate in typical practical activities involved in a Forest School programme, including how to make a fire, knifework and setting up camp.

This was an informative, fun and brilliantly put together event where by all participants left with new knowledge on Forest Schools.

A huge thank you to Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. For more information on the Trust, the work in which they do and their Forest Schools training courses, please visit their website: www.staffs-wildlife.org.uk.

If you missed this one, we are running another on Tuesday 24th April, 9.30am – 2.30pm at Nicholsons Garden Design, Bicester. If you would like to book onto this free event, please call a member of the Business Development Team on; 01902 624230.
