Creating New Courses
 
Open College Network West Midlands Courses contain units from regulated qualifications unless they are customised: (please contact your Business Development Manager about customised provision). Courses should be designed to meet the needs of learners and to facilitate progression.
 
A New Centre?
To create a new course to enable you to register your learners, you must already be a Recognised Centre and have qualification approval for the regulated qualification you want to develop the course from.  Qualification approval will usually be completed as part of the Centre Recognition process.
 
Approval to Deliver a Course (ADC) form – please complete and submit this form to create a course from a smaller selection of qualification units, once you have completed the Approval to Deliver a Qualification process.

Existing Centre?
If you wish to:
  1. deliver a new qualification
  2. set up a new course, or
  3. amend an existing course,
please follow the relevant guidance below.
 
1. Qualification Approval Form (QAF) - please complete and submit this form to deliver a new qualification and/or unit(s) from a qualification as directed on the form with the required evidence. Once approved, your qualification will be set up with all units attached. Completed QAF forms should be sent to your Business Development Manager or e-mail to qaforms@opencollnet.org.uk.
 
2. Approval to Deliver a Course (ADC) - please complete and submit this form to create a course from a smaller selection of qualification units once you have completed the relevant Approval to Deliver a Qualification process.  (If you are not currently approved to deliver the qualification(s), for where the units you wish to use within those qualifications sit, then you will also need to complete and submit the Qualification Approval Form for these as referenced in 1. above.)

3. Amendment to an Existing Course (AEC) - please complete and submit this form to amend an existing course you are currently delivering.
 
Completed ADC/AEC forms should be forwarded to your Business Development Manager who will acknowledge receipt of and process these forms.
