Freelance Qualification Development Specialists Required

Description

We are seeking self-employed individuals to join our pool of Curriculum Area Moderators for Access to Higher Education.

The role involves the External Quality Assurance of the Open College Network West Midlands Access to Higher Education Diplomas, which are regulated by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA). The role may at times involve quality monitoring visits to Centres therefore a driving licence and means of independent travel is essential.

We are currently seeking experts in the following subject areas:

  • Maths
  • Engineering
  • ICT and Computing
  • Health Studies

Applicants must:

  • Be qualified to Level 4 in the subject area that they wish to Moderate.
  • Have experience of the Access to Higher Education Diploma or Higher Education.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word, email and internet usage.
  • Have access to a reliable internet connection.

Ideally, applicants will also hold or be working towards:

  • A qualification in External Quality Assurance.

Access to Higher Education Curriculum Area Moderators

Description

We are seeking self-employed individuals to join our pool of External Quality Assurers for our diverse range of RQF qualifications.

The role involves the External Quality Assurance of Open College Network West Midlands qualifications, which are regulated by the Ofqual and Qualifications Wales. The role will involve quality monitoring visits to Centres as and when required. A driving licence and means of independent travel is therefore essential.

(Please note that at the current time all activity is remote).

We are interested in recruiting experts in all subjects areas, but particularly in the following:

  • Construction, Building and the Built Environment
  • Telecommunications/Wireless and Cellular Networks
  • Health in particular - Oral Hygiene/Dental
  • Medical Technologies
  • Security qualifications/Law Enforcement
  • Retrofit coordination and Risk Management.
  • General Religious Education/ Biblical Studies – Theology
  • Education and Training
  • Forest Schools

Applicants must:

  • Be qualified and occupationally competent in the subject area that they wish to quality assure.
  • Have experience of training, assessing and internally quality assuring regulated qualifications.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word, email and internet usage e.g. zoom/drop boxes.
  • Have access to a reliable internet connection.

Ideally, applicants will also hold, be working or willing to work towards:

  • A Level 4 qualification in External Quality Assurance.
