At Open College Network West Midlands the sharing of good practice is an important aspect of the support we offer you.  As an Access to HE Centre approved with Open College Network West Midlands you will also benefit from the following services:
  • An extensive programme of support for tutors. We host 6 coordinator forums per year. These include updates on Access developments, presentations from HE admissions tutors and the opportunity to network.
  • Continuous Professional Development (CPD) which includes Internal Moderation and Assessment and Grading training running throughout the year.  Other staff training is provided on learner registration and results and quality assurance.
  • Regular contact with your allocated Curriculum Area Moderator and Centre Reviewer, at interim and final moderation meetings.
 
Centres will also have the opportunity to:
  • Nominate your learners for one of the fourteen annual Open College Network West Midlands Access to HE Learner Awards worth £500 and attend the ceremony
  • Attend the Open College Network West Midlands Access to H.E. Conference - a full day of speakers, workshops and networking opportunities
  • Attend Open College Network West Midlands Regional Forums in various curriculum areas which involve representatives from FE and HE
